PANGASINAN, Philippines — From February 6 to 14, 2025, 13 Japanese participants took part in the 41st Philippines Study Tour, held in the cities of Dagupan and Sual, Pangasinan.
Over nine days, the group visited a children’s home, a women’s shelter, a slum community, and a public elementary school. These encounters gave them a closer look at everyday challenges while revealing the resilience and warmth of the people they met.
A two-night homestay allowed participants to live with local families, share meals, and engage in daily routines. This experience helped them build genuine connections and reflect on what it means to live a meaningful, joyful life.
The tour offered not just exposure to social issues, but also a deeper appreciation of human dignity, relationships, and the richness found in simple living.
